The short version

Drobu stores everything locally on your Mac. Your clipboard history never leaves your device — there are no accounts, no telemetry, and no way for us to see it. The only data we hold about you is your purchase record (see below).

What Stripe collects

When you buy Drobu, Stripe collects your email, payment info, and IP address to process the payment. We receive your email and payment status — never your card details. See Stripe's privacy policy for details.

License delivery

When you buy Drobu, your license key is delivered automatically: your email address and purchase reference are stored in a fulfillment database hosted on Supabase, and the key is emailed to you from our mailbox (mail you send to us is handled through our mailbox provider and its forwarding). We keep the purchase record so we can re-send your key and provide support for as long as you own a license. To have it deleted, email us — note that we then can't recover your key for you.

Update checks

Drobu periodically checks for updates by fetching a file from GitHub Pages. The request includes your macOS and app version in the User-Agent header. No personal data is sent.

macOS permissions

Drobu asks for Accessibility (to simulate Cmd+V for pasting) and Screen Recording (for GIF/video capture). Neither is used to monitor your activity or collect data. Password manager entries (1Password, etc.) are automatically ignored and never stored.

No tracking

This website has no analytics, no cookies, and no tracking scripts.
